Part of the reason for this blog is to highlight any issue I’ve had with setting up my Synology NAS to prevent others suffering the same. Here’s a quick post on how to use Synology’s mobile apps when using https.
By default the apps try and connect over HTTP on port 80 so when you try and connect over HTTPS it fails to connect. I assumed you just had to check the HTTPS box but you also have to include 443. SLightly annoying but it’s not as if you have enter the path each time you use the app.
