Synology Docker Terminal behind reverse proxy

If you’re getting the dreaded ‘Socket closed’ error message when tring to use the Terminal within a Docker container (see below) then here’s the solution…

  1. Create Websocket entries in the reverse proxy rule for DSM as below. The two entries shown will be created when ‘Websocket’ is clicked.
  1. Select ‘Advanced Settings’ and increase the default value of 60sec in the Proxy read timeout’ value to 86400. Done
